This is my very first costuming project. I was twelve at the time and was then very proud of it. I've since noticed many of it's shortcomings. Live and learn right? I was adamant about it being an accurate reproduction of Elizabeths dress (from POTC:COTBP) and so spent a fortune on it.
The innacurately named Marie Antionette dress. A favorite of my collection. The skirt is worn over a large hoopskirt. I love the sleeves and the machine embroidery on their edges.
A really bad picture of the Barbossa dress that I made for my sister. Accurate construction although the trims are all wrong. (I didn't pick them, don't blame me)The cream cotton lace is really nice, unfortunately you cant tell.
My first (and best) Rennaisance smock and bodice. The smock is made of burgundy satin and black georgette for the sleeves. The bodice is made of the same satin and has machine embroidery detailing.
Lilac Dupioni Victorian Evening ensemble. Bodice, skirt and bustle. The bustle was an absolute horor to make being my first and all. Overall I think it turned out not too bad.
A beautiful 1930's style wedding dress. I made it out of a dusty rose satin. There are 20 pearl buttons down the back, what alot of work.
